One of my friend's little girl wanted an apron when she saw the ones I made for Thanksgiving. I told her to tell me what color and all and this is what I came up with.
I also have more in the making and will post as I finish those. |
Love it. And the colors Wow!!!!

looks like you need to start a business .....everyone can use an apron...and those are so cute
|
Oh, Terri--she is going to love it--you are a special friend!!!
|
I'm almost wanting to NOT give it to her, it's so adorable! lol
I'm sure she will love it and her little sister (4yrs old) will probably ask for one now. And of course, since I"m a sucker when it comes to kids, I'll make her one. :) |

I'm thinking I will need to make a couple of these for my 2 GDs. They love cooking with Mommy. The oldest has an apron that matches Mom's but the 3 yr old doesn't.
I'm not trying to cut into your topic but doesn't she need Grandma to make her an apron? |

Hey you now after Christmas maybe we should do an apron swap. i bet we could get alot of quilters to join in

The family had stopped by yesterday and Dionna asked me about it. I told her she had to give me a chance to make it. That I was old and sometimes it takes me a long time. She laughed, hugged me and said I wasn't old. Cute little girl...I was about to offer her money, candy and anything else she wanted for that comment. lol Her mom told her that it would be done when I got it done and then her dad said they would have to pay for it. I told her, no....I was making it because she is just too cute and sweet and she doesn't have to pay me for it. :) |
Okay, Terri, directions are needed for the child size now!!! A bunch of us have granddaughters/son, that could use these right about now!! It's cookie making time!!
|
LOL
Ok, what I did to make the little one was used the same directions....but, I did NOT use the ruffler. I hand pleated it. I used a piece of fabric 21x25 inches. I thought it was a fat quarter, but it wasn't. Just adjust the pieces for the tie and cut the towel smaller if you put one on. |
Thanks, Terri. You're the best.
|
i love it! :P

This is adorable. I made all six of my granddaughters aprons last year and gave them a restaurant type tablets and they enjoyed that more than anything that I had bought them. They took orders all day long, it warmed my heart.
