I decided to try a Dissappearing Pinwheel in miniature. I started with 5 inch squares. I wanted to see how the bias edges would work in a smaller format and the stretch allowed me to match the points quite well. It will probably end up being a cute hot pad.

I just made the 9-Patch Swap as a mini with scraps. used 2 1/2 inch squares instead of 5 inch squares. Fun once but probably won't try again.

nicely done

That turned out nice. You are very creative.

Looks good, as your work generally does. My experiments generally end up as hot pads too.

it's amazing how the negative looks so differently from the positive

Very nice job!!!

Those are nice blocks.

Wonderful little block.

That will be a very cute hotpad or whatever you decide. Bias does help with matching points, but is fraught with difficulties. You've done well!

I like the play between negative space and positive space. The more I look at it the more I see. very cool.

I made this pattern and really liked how it went together. The one I did started with a 10" block and grew fast into a queen size quilt. a mini version is in my future too. The pattern I used came from a magazine but MSQC has a tutorial and you just have to flip the placement of a few units.

I really like the fabrics you used and the opposite placement. Thanks for showing this nice experimental hot pad.
peace

I love seeing what others do with minis. This turned out really great! It will make a beautiful little hotpad.

Very cute and what a creative way of changing a pattern. I like your mini.

A pretty mini with nice color contrast.

I love this pattern. So cute. A friend of mine and a member of this board (however bashful she is) Made a quilt with this pattern. So very cute.
