I sewed the blocks directly to the lining fabric so I didn't have to use flannel in between. This one is actually lined with a heavy silk I had left over from a dress and jacket I made back in the day. It seemed kind of over the top for base fabric, but I figured I'd had it for 20 years and never used it and it was the perfect color. It worked great and since it's a nice suit weight silk, it has enough body to make the jacket look good but is soft and drapeable.
I'll bet the inside is as beautiful as the outside. People are sure to ask you where you bought this. It is just gorgeous and unique!
