I finished all the blocks tonight! Tomorrow, I will square them up and start assembling the rows. I'm so stinkin' excited I can barely stand it!!
It's about queen size right now. I was going for full size comforter. I have no idea what to use as backing but I do know how I'm going to quilt it. Any suggestions for backing? Even standing on a chair, I wasn't able to fit the whole quilt into the photo! |
Really like these colors together. Just enough light colors to keep the colors from being too heavy.
Please share completed work. Good luck with your surgery recovery...remember to take it easy. |
Thanks! I've been stopping and resting along the way. The first 4 or 5 days were torture because I had such bad cabin fever and couldn't sew. I was so sick of being housebound and needing to lay down so much!
My mom cut extra material for me this past Sunday and my husband helped me match up the squares for each nine-patch. And tonight, I had a friend help lay all the blocks on the floor and rearrange them as we looked at it for a while. My friend's eight year old daughter was helping us tonight and even she was excited to see how the quilt would look once I have the blocks sewn together. This quilt has definitely been a group effort. |
Love the colors, especially that pop of lime green among the blues.

Great colors!

I love the colors and the D9P is on my list because of how simple to construct but quite intricately fussy it looks. Can't wait to see it all done.

It is really great. I love blue anyway.
