Started this quilt in April. Almost 10 hours of cutting.Finished this the beginning of August just in time for entry of the County Fair. No ribbon, but that's ok. I know from judging comments that my quilting skills have come a long way in the last 3 years. Winners this year had made traditional quilts. If I had that quilt and planned to give it to my MIL I'd make sure she knew that if it weren't to her taste I'd keep it and make her a different one! Barring that, make sure it's included in the will that I'd get it back--it's gorgeous!

I absolutely love this quilt and would like to make it. I downloaded the pattern and obviously the pieces must be precise. Since you have made this quilt, may I ask whether or not you did "scant" 1/4" seams? Any other pointers or advice regarding this quilt would be very helpful. It would be my first "difficult" (to me) quilt. Thank you for your help.

I have read the pattern instructions several times and could not find information regarding the 1/4" seams. I am going to make a test block "A" using a true 1/4" seam.
