I don't know Sidcup but we used to go to Bromley about once a month and have a Saturday out there. Wonderful shops. Oh my dear not only are the bag snatchers still around but you can't move at times for the drug pushers. You are well out of it, and so am I come to that. My daughter keeps me informed about events, and sometimes I fear for her safety, but she is pretty sensible. I hope you continue to enjoy you life for many years. Sylvia

Sylvia, I know how you feel. Its awful isnīt it. My daughter and her husband are coming over here to live for a year to see if they like it, problem here is the jobs they are hard tocome by, but she is a hairdresser and a good one (even if I do say so myself). So should be easier for her, anyway we shall see. They live in Crystal Palace and I didnīt feel safe coming off the train at night. :(

Hello Ellie. I have done really well for myself. I live in a village called East Preston which is in West Sussex. I have a lovely bungalow in a sheltered housing scheme and am very content with my life. I have my dog, my sewing and go out on my buggy and can honestly say I do not miss London at all. It's lovely to speak to you. I used to work at Crystal Palace for a Housing Association - don;t miss that either. Sylvia

K9..... lovely to speak to you too. Lovely to hear you are happy where you are, that is a really nice part of the English countryside.
I expect you have a Collie for some reason

We have 3 dogs all of which were abandonded, they are really happy now though.

Yes I have got a Border Collie which I have had now for 3 years. She is 11years old in August, and her previous family wanted to just give her away. I really can't fathom out the reason because she is such a darling and loves everybody, but she is a splendid house dog. Well done for saving your dogs from something that could have been terrible. Did you find them in Spain?

Well funnily enough two of them yes, Butty the largest of the 3 was found on the motorway in a black bag, just a little pup, in Wales and someone gave him to my partner who had just moved there. Toby was left by the previous Spanish owners in the house when he moved in, just 6 weeks old and a ball of fluff,. Rosie I found sitting on a step about 5 months old and on her last legs her face full of ticks from the goats. But all are hale and heartly now.
