Daughter's quilt
A few of you helped me on my tension issue the other day. I thought I'd show you what you helped me with. This is my very first time free motion quilting. It was also my first attempt at applique. Please be gentle. (and only my 10th quilt)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps5deaaae1.jpg A close up of the stipple: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps0d31c77c.jpg After I washed it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psfb629c94.jpg I made a pillowcase out of scraps and appliqued her name on it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps12a897d8.jpg There are lots mistakes, but I'm awful glad I had read a few posts about just jumping in and doing it and so I decided to "just do it". Besides an issue with an overfilled bobbin, it was actually easier than I thought it would be. I need to work on my stopping and starting so its more smooth, but overall I was very happy at my first attempt. |
I think it is great! I have only done straight line quilting yet, you are brave!

Great job on piecing, quilting and applique! She will love it!
|
Great job and don't you just love the look of a freshly washed quilt?
|

Really great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This quilt looks like beaches with the waves rolling in. Very relaxing and cuddly. Your FMQ is at least as good as mine, probably better - looks really good!

This is a lovely quilt. I like your color choice and the quilting is nice too.
|
Do you remember when you posted your help request?? I must be overlooking it. I still have uneven stitches with my FMQ. Tinker
