So, I've been busy, busy sewing away. Here is the bag that DD wanted made from the fabrics she picked out. I think it's really cute for a 17 yr old.

That is a really cute bag. Did you use a pattern?
|
I love the colors and the fabric selection. I can understand why your daughter picked them!! You did a great job-move over Vera Bradley!!!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. DD does really like her bag, but I haven't heard from any of her friends yet... 8) We'll see. The bag is really easy to make, its one of three in a charm square kit. I used the charm squares for a green one for me, then bought the fabric for DD's. The instructions are from Whistlepig Creek Productions, #1145 Charming Totes 3 and are real easy to understand.
Luckily, I know have a sewing room of my own, my youngest is 17 and has a busy life of her own, so I can come home from work and sew for several hours every night. It's a great stress reliever for me. BUT, I was looking at the house this morning and I believe I"ll have to take a time out this morning and do some cleaning!!! Boo! |
How cool is that..... GREAT JOB!
|
Thanks Bev. Hope your flannel quilt is going well.
