Lots of melon seeds to practice on for left triangle 8! The picture of the original by Jane is missing from the book so I scanned & enlarged it from the cover of the book. I noticed immediately that the center "square U" is narrower at the top of it and the "legs" are wider, so that's how I did it.

Love the fabric I had for G1 - been looking for a place to use it! Was happy to use the multiple HST's method (8) to do G2. Nice to do a strictly piecing block!

I wonder if she ate the melons the seeds came from, or maybe they grew them, and that's why the seeds figure so prominently in her quilt? I'm glad you're doing them (so skillfully!) instead of me!

Now that I've discovered the trick I did the tutorial on, I'm much happier with them! Seems like I'm the only one that didn't know to use the template plastic! Thanks, Jan
