Looks great to me.
What do you think is wrong with them?

miss_ticky2 02-27-2011 11:53 PM

I think they look great

sewdarnbusy 02-28-2011 12:07 AM

nothing is wrong with them... I jripped out every seam several times and made them perfect. Operator error!

thequiltmama 02-28-2011 03:38 AM

they look really good....but I can relate...I really don't like paper piecing either. I can do it but prefer not to. :)

They're beautiful.... the title says Dear John blocks... is that a Freudian slip or what you're going to call the finished quilt.

Or, you were perfecting your technique.;-) ;-)

Such precise points! You've done an excellent job. I've only done one small heart wall hanging that I have finished PP. I have started a quilt with larger hearts, to alternate with plain squares, for a bigger quilt. It gets faster as you do more and more. I know I would never do any of the really complicated pieces as I have seen on here, but it's nice knowing I can do it some if I need to! Your blocks are great. Maybe work on them and go to something else for a while.

I am not a PP'er either. I did do a "grandmothers garden" with templates.

What do you call the curvy block. I like it.

bluteddi 02-28-2011 07:52 AM

I LOVE the " dear jane"... I've never seen a curved paper piece quite like it@!! ( John is nice too)

My problrm with PP is... I feel like I am WASTING paper...... I need help..... I just hate wating anything! *sigh*

They look GREAT to me: I do alot of PP w/ the Sunbonnet Sue and Cupcakes etc. When I first started though, I had problems with the edges. It gets better w/ practice. I love your Avatar too:
