While working on different embroidery project I learned to trace off the embroidery pattern and then quilt the fabric before doing the embroidery. The batting helps hide any threads that might other wise show through the fabric. When I finish the embroidery I just finish building the quilt as I ordinarily would. There are two layers of batting under the center but it doesn't show that it's different from the rest of the quilt. Just thought I'd pass that information on.

Sewing's done for now - time to go stir up some peanut brittle.
