Designed This In EQ 7 for applique

2 Attachment(s)
Although this started out as a pieced block design I converted it to applique. This is one of 3 designs I'm working on for consideration to use in one of my local guilds block swap later this year.

Just for fun I put it in a quilt layout to see what it would look like. I am however thinking of using this block in a quilt of my own as the center focus as the album cover and creating additionally themed blocks to create a sampler pieced/appliqued/stencil quilt.

So what do y'all think? It can it fly the way I have it or should I change something?

Sized it smaller for better viewing

Beautiful!! I love two color quilts. I am not successful with my EQ7... wish I had saved my money. Takes more talent than I have. You do great work so keep it up . Thanks for sharing. Show us the quilt when it is made, as it will certainly be a winner.

Not really. I use to feel intimated by it ONLY because I didn't take the time to do the lessons in the program. Do the classes in the program (there are 22) and view and study the video's and practice, practice, practice.

I haven't even started to scratch the surface of what this program will allow us to do, yes even create a one of a kind design.

All I did with these was use stuff already there and started manipulating it.

Now I'm self teaching myself how to design outside the program and import some of those designs into EQ7.

We just have to play with the program to learn it and certainly taking those lessons in the program can help quite a bit.

Love the unique design, I've never seen anything quite like it. It's pretty in red and would also be pretty in a variety of colors.
