That's beautiful. I just added the book to my Amazon list. Thanks for giving the pattern information. I plan on doing it with Civil War prints.

I can fully understand why he would want to keep this one, it's beautiful, especially with that quilting, such a great quilt. We have to keep one every now and then, just so we have something to remind ourselves of all our hard work.

I can so relate to that. My DH's favorite quilts were scrappy & Sunbonnet Sue and Sam. They reminded him of his grandmother. It's so wonderful that your husband wanted you to keep this one - it's a good one for sure.
