A little over a month ago I posted a picture of my DH and his 10th quilt top. Thanks to ladybugnana and confederate rose, who kindly sent him a sack full of bobbins for his machine, he has now finished five more tops. He is averaging one each week. I can tell you it has made my life easier too. I have prewound them and placed them in a box next to his machine. Since he can't get his fingers in there good to put them in, all I have to do is take one out and pop it in and he's OFF. He asked me to acknowledge these ladies for their thoughtfulness in helping with this delima. Although he still can't or won't fill a bobbin, This has helped tremendously. Here is his 14th top. Thanks ladies.

Awesome Job from your hubby, you and the quilters here!

Great team work! Winding and changing bobbins is a small price to pay for such lovely quilts.

That's fantastic! I tried to get my Hubster to quilt once. He made it halfway through a quilt and won't finish it. Oh well.
Your Hubster did a fantastic job on this quilt...now I have to go and look to find his other quilts! :)

Great work. How big are those squares?

#1piecemaker 08-24-2010 12:30 PM

Thanks to all. He is proud of his work. He challenged me to a race. I've been working on a postage stamp and his is 2 1/2 inch blocks. Think that would be fair????

OMG!!!! Can't imagine a hubby with so much patience. I would change bobbins any time if my hubby could and would sew all these lovely little squares into such beautiful quilts. And to think he turns out a quilt top each week. You must be having a wonderful time together!!!!!!!!

Diane007 12-14-2013 08:12 PM

what a wonderful quilt! Such a thoughtful gift! It is so good that you can share this time so well.

Your DH is amazing, I don't know how he can make those tops so fast. What a good job he does too. It was very nice of those ladies to send him these bobbins. I just got a new machine and if you don't fill the bobbins just right it won't sew correctly. Have fun DH with the next one. Josie

ManiacQuilter2 12-15-2013 09:33 AM

I agree, this quilt top is AWESOME !! His placements of his fabric is excellent that makes a woven look to a scrappy quilt. What size of fabric does he like?? I could send him some of my scraps....
