Diamond Dust blocks
 

I had posted a pinterest link to this quilt under In Search OF triangles quilt.
this one is from a book on Geometric quilts. Diamond Dust. I would pick diamonds and in batiks yet.
I am doing this one for my friends dtr and it is for her grown son.
here are some blocks on my cutting table. it will be 3 across and 8 down.

Really like this, especially the fabrics your picked. Is this a strip piecing technique? Looks almost like foundation piecing on a rectangle with 2.5" strips, much like the technique used for string quilts. would be a great project using a couple of jelly rolls.

Very soothing. K. Fasssett does a diamond one but it has strong color and various sizes of strips.

yes, four strips sewn and rectangle template laid on them at an angle. just match lines (I marked on my template). the pattern shows all done in same fabrics. i had several to use for this, no large cuts. somewhere i have an acrylic template I bought to do something similar. there is a bit of waste with this method .

whew. all 24 done. I sent her a photo of them laid out on the floor. but i need more fabric for a border. we are to talk by phone tomorrow. texting can only go so far.
