Great job! Very pretty. Is that a Day of the Dead quilt?

PenniF 03-12-2014 11:23 AM

It is celebrated around the world - Mexico, etc....a day to celebrate and remember those who have passed. The decorations for Dia de los Muertos are AMAZING. You can google it and see. This quilt is a wonderful example.

Will you be allowed a needle on the plane? I got my eyebrow tweezers confiscated as a dangerous weapon! Great quilt, very colourful and pretty.

haven't had problems with needles. Clippers are kind of iffy. Most of the time, small ones get through OK but every once in a while, they get confiscated. I buy inexpensive scissors at the dollar store just in case.

Would the plastic kindergargen scissors work on a plane?

The quilt reminds me of something: "Until death do us part." I LOVE the butterfly!

Go to the TSA for the list of what's okay and what's not. They update frequently. What isn't allowed one time might be allowed the next. Have a safe, enjoyable trip!

Nice quilt - the "Day of the Dead"is an interesting tradition - I saw some nice displays in Taos NM last fall - I like the idea of honoring the ancestors on a regular and predictable schedule, altho i must admit I think of my loved ones much more often than annually.

fangman 03-14-2014 08:58 AM
