That's cute! and I agree - the primary colours are perfect. we didn't have Dick and Jane in the UK, we had Peter and Susan but I think it was similar. 'Run, Peter run' and the dog always 'looked on'! :D

LOVE it! The colors you chose and the pinwheel alternate blocks is just perfect. I keep looking at that Dick and Jane fabric, but haven't purchased any yet. Don't have any grandkids yet, but maybe I just ought to make one for ME. I learned to read with those books!

I don't suppose it was TWEETY and a bird?
Just FYI - - sixty years ago today (9-16-49) Wile E Coyote and the Roadrunner appeared for the first time. Can't tell I am stalling, can you? a fish? Named Flip? Going in to research mode NOW! <wave> |
Sally had a teddy bear named Tim ... didn't want a teddy bear either!
the teddy bear isn't the pet you were expecting as an answer, is it? |
I really love it. I did a wall hanging out of a Dick and Jane panel a while back and have it hanging in my sewing room. It's one of my favorite projects.

Still waiting for the third "pet" name... actually it was a teddy bear...

Sally's teddy bear was named Tim.

I love how you put it together and the colors are fitting. I'm another that learned to read with Dick and Jane in school. We used to have an easel and big book. Somehow when we made the move to town they didn't make it. I was really upset. A few years ago I purchased a new(modern day) Dick and Jane for the grands. I also bought Sam and the Tigers at the same time.
