It's a wonderful quilt and you did a great job. It's up to you. You know it will bother you always. It looks like an easy fix. It's still beautiful.

I finished this quilt top for my nephew's wedding. I showed it to the ladies at my LQS and they loved it as I do. So off the quilt went to the quilter. I always take pitures of my work so this morning as I am looking ot over to count my pieces and I noticed a mistake. To me it's a big one. I'm in shock that no one noticed it. Can you see it?

Do I contact the quilter and have her send it back before she quilts it or let it be. Advice needed thanks.

Because it is for a wedding gift I would fix it before it gets quilted. But I must say.. it is GORGEOUS!!!!

your quilt is beautiful. I don't know that i'd see it if you didn't mention it. it's off to the side. so don't worry. you meant to do that!

I would fix it if possible as it is a wedding gift. However, you have made a very beautiful quilt so celebrate! Your nephew and his bride will love this quilt for many years to come!

Thanks all !!!! My nephew and niece in law absolutely loved it!!! For those of you interested in the pattern it is called The Garden Patch Variation.. I found it at quilterscache.com under free patterns.

I spotted it right away, but I'm a quilter. Change it if you want, but most people will not see it.

i wouldny have noticed it unless you mentioned it its a nice quilt!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. Only my mistake was in the exact center of the quilt--which made it a real PITA to fix. I would fix this since 1) it's for a gift and 2) it's in a corner so shouldn't be so difficult to unsew and fix.

the mistake is quite clear

Agree. To me, it is quite noticeable. I was quilting a wall hanging on the frame, almost done, noticed I have reversed some blocks. Took it off the frame, ripped some of the quilting out, took the blocks out and sewed them where they were supposed to be, loaded it on the frame again, and finished. Not a lot of fun, but for me, it had to be done.
