I never heard of the D9P until I joined this board. A couple of weeks ago I finally looked it up and was amazed it was so easy -- and versatile! As I was looking for a reason to make something with the D9P, I ended up making a table runner with D9P on both sides. My son had just relocated and his new roommate was kind enough to let me stay at his house and visit for a few days. So he received the table runner as a thank you gift...and was very impressed!

Thank you all for widening my horizons on a daily basis!

Mauve and Red D9P Runner - turned out to be the right size!

Very pretty! I am always amazed at the transformation when you cut the 9-patch and rearrange it. It goes from nice to fabulous very quickly!

I too had never heard of D9P before joining, and am inspired to make something soon. Lovin' the colors in your runner, and the bowl looks great on it. A match made in heaven!

Very pretty and a couple of my favorite colors on the front. Great job.

Great job!!! I also learned of the D9P here on the board and used it to make quilts for my twin grand daughters. I used the same colors but not in the same order. On the lighter large squares I did applique of insects and animals. They turned out great.
Now you'll have to try D9P, The Next Generation!!! That is great too.

This is where I found it. I googled 'disappearing 9 patch the next generation' and got it. try it, you'll like it. I love quilts that look like you had to cut a lot of little pieces to make the blocks, but didn't.
