Both are great! No room currently for an ironing station, as my Ikea craft/cutting/storage unit takes up a good part of the room I am working in (the family room). I can put an ironing pad on top of that, but yours is nicer.

Loved your pin cushion so much I copied it - right down to the fabric that I already had on hand - but had to do it from memory as I couldn't find the original thread. I was looking for "pin cushion," lol, as that's what I focused on... I fussy cut mine differently that you did, plus my button is not as nice, so mine isn't as pretty as yours is, but it's still good.

Thank you for sharing!

when I quit doing graphic design and can get rid of my drawing board, I'm going to have one of these myself. I love the ingenuity of it. It's actually an attractive piece of furniture, disguised as an ironing surface!

Peaceandjoy, that's so cool that you made the same pincushion from the same fabric! Isn't that Double Chocolat collection just wonderful?!
Thank you for the super nice comments about the ironing board. You are right Linda - we feel like it is a piece of furniture too.

Great job!! U got one good helper. Love to see pics. I'm in process of raising my cutting/pressing board too. Just bought plywood, had it cut 5'3" x 38" at Home Depot & with left overs will built it up underneath to good height for me. My base is my Mam Maw's old Singer treadle. Think the lower ht was giving me pain when I stood too long...

Going to get my husband busy this week-end. I love your ironing station. Thanks for the directions. Now he has no excuse,

Thanks for bumping this to the top, lpj. I missed it the first time. This would be a good solution for me, as well.

Well the three of you are early risers. Thanks for the nice comments.
LJP, your ironing station sounds like it is going to be grand! Here's to non-achy backs everywhere!

Such a nicely finished board. I covered my board, stapled, used and then found out my stapeling left a lot to be desired, as now, I still use a loosely covered board and the whole time telling myself to get out the stapler and fix it. But like everything elswe, I'll do it manana.

I am so jealous! I would love an ironing board like that. Great Job!
