my dh bought this quilt for me about 20 years ago; he worked at an assisted living facility and they were having a craft sale, the only thing i know about it, besides it is warm and comfy and i love it, is that it was made by a minister's wife, by hand, and that she worked on it for a very long time, and then donated it to raise money for the assisted living facility! i'm the lucky one who got it! i would like to know if any of you have seen a quilt like this or better yet if you know the name of the pattern.

Its beautiful!!!
Sorry I can't help you but I wanted to say that is a lovely quilt.
I researched for you. I have the book Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns and on page 174 it shows the exact picture but using autumn colors. It's called "Indian Summer". I also think they call it Maple Leaves, but don't quote me. You can buy the book on Amazon.com or at JoAnns. I love it. I like yours because it's nice and bright. Enjoy!

thank you so much for your research; i'll look for the book!
Sure no problem! It's by Leisure Arts. In that book there are so many patterns. I want to make them all! It's about $25.00 at JoAnns, but look in Amazon.com you might get it cheaper there. It has 367 pages. And to make labels too. It's worth it. If you have coupons for JoAnns there you go. Again it's worth it.

That's very nice! How long did it take you to make? If you don't mind me asking.
I love it and just bought the new Quilt magazine tonight and thought the same thing it looked like the one on the cover and I love Maple leaves so guess I will also be making one!
wow you must have made that fast didnt the issue just come out? I just got mine tonight! Its beautiful!
Love that quilt!
Both quilts are lovely! Neat to see leaf quilts with brighter colors in them.
I've seen a variation called "autumn leaves" - it's one of my favorite patterns and very pretty.
Great find.
A treasure!
It looks like it could have been a pattern made by tracing an actual maple leaf.
This is amazing! I have been collecting fall colours to make a quilt that I had in my head. I pictured maple leaves, one facing up and one facing down, with green or brown stems. I figured the pattern out on graph paper (it would have to involve some paper piecing for the point of the leaf). I have never attempted it because it just seemed so overwhelming. Now I see these pics and see there is in fact a pattern out there! Thanks. I am from Canada, and love maple leaves.
Both quilts are awesome. Glad someone could help you with the pattern.

the book is on amazon for 5.00 used...plus 6.00 shipping!

I just bought one and it came to 10.00 something so good luck!
I think it is just Maple Leaf. Any variations get their own version--i.e. Scrappy Maple Leaf or Indian Summer.
I don't know the name, but I made one similar from a pattern in Woman's Day magazine back in 1977.
