Looks like a toothbrush without a head, doesn't it. Well, my DH (the inventor) decided if the head was removed and it was sharpened, it would make a stilletto....with a nice gripping surface.

What a good idea!!
Recyle, reuse...cool!
I think it's a pressing, or creasing, tool??
Sometimes men are just too darn smart! As creative as we quilters are, you'd think we would have thought of that a long time ago.
Great recycling!!!!

My first thought was that it looked like a homemade weapon in prison. I guess I've watched too many of those prison documentaries on TV. This is a great tool for sewing, though.

(inside my head: In prison, they call that a shank...) Sooooo, your hubby done time in the Big House? |
Great idea! If I send you my old toothbrush will he make me one? lol just kidding!
I thought about a prison shank too, but I am glad it is a sewing tol.
Wow - that's a fabulous idea. Thank you for sharing!
How creative!
That looks better than using my seam ripper
Bet it would work for poking up corners, without sharpening, of course . Good idea! DH inventing quilting tools for you he's a keeper

That would be great for those of us who have arthritis in our hands.
What a great idea! And it would work better than a metal stilleto, in that it won't scratch the surface of the sewing machine's throat plate when you use it.
I love it!! What a great and creative idea!! :D:D:D
Clever lad! Love it.
