I was looking at a quilt guild and looking at their show and share pictures. I seen this tabletopper and really
liked it. However ,I have never seen this pattern I shown it to a few friends and they like it but didn't know the
pattern either. Does anyone know what it is. Would appreciate your help. Thank You
Ruthie

WOW - going to Paducah next week - maybe I will see it there

hopetoquilt 04-20-2012 01:48 AM

I am bookmarking this as I would love to make this table runner. It is so cool. I hope someone knows the pattern. It looks really cool.

SueDor 04-20-2012 02:12 AM

It's cute what ever the pattern is! Maybe some kind of celtic knot!

nunnyJo 04-20-2012 02:54 AM

wish I knew sould love to make it. Please post when you find out?

QuiltnNan 04-20-2012 03:29 AM

it reminds me of a Lover's Knot rug. there is a quilt pattern called lover's knot, but it has angles, not curves like yours.

gsbuffalo 04-20-2012 04:12 AM

don't know the pattern but it is sure cute

ontheriver 04-20-2012 09:12 AM

Cool looking pattern, wish I could help with the name. It looks to me like you could modify a drunkards path block to make the curved parts. Going to play around with that some tonight while I watch tv and see what happens.

I do not know, it is beautiful!!!

ca2jo 04-20-2012 10:31 AM

It is a lovely pattern. I hope some clever person can solve the mystery of the patterns name.

EvelynJ 04-20-2012 07:19 PM

I tried looking for something similar but I came up empty. I'll keep looking. It is very beautiful and does not seem to be very difficult. Might have to just get some graphing paper out and copy the image on paper.

northern lass 04-21-2012 03:27 AM

It's called a 'Plait runner'. I've seen one done in golden browns and it was named 'golden' plait runner. Hope this helps

Blinkokr 04-21-2012 05:01 AM

Just beautiful, but don't know the pattern
Have a Blessed day

I have searched everywhere (but the right place, obviously) for that pattern. I have got to have it!!! I even tried Plait Runner that Northern Lass suggested but no luck. I was continually referred to braid runner. I hope people will keep looking. Maybe CraftyBear could help. She loves doing research on the computer for us. Please, everyone keep looking and I will too.

kat13 04-21-2012 06:56 AM

I love the pattern too, very unique!

Patchwork Pam 04-21-2012 07:06 AM

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would love to know also. That would look awesome on my table.

sandypants 04-21-2012 07:14 AM

I love that pattern, I will look too. I'd like to make one too. Good luck to all of us looking!

quilter68 04-21-2012 07:44 AM

Your table runner looks like parts of CELTIC quilting. Perhaps someone made up their own pattern from pieces of a larger display.

silver queen 04-21-2012 07:53 AM

It is a beautiful pattern. Not an easy one to search. Will keep trying.

noahscats7 04-21-2012 08:16 AM

I'll be watching this thread to see if someone comes up with the name.

QuiltinMama 04-21-2012 04:00 PM

May I make a suggestion that you email the guild and ask them if they know the name of the pattern..
hugs

twinkiedog 04-22-2012 08:22 AM

I can't find what quilt guild I got this show and share from. I thought it was a Flordia quilt guild. But I have been fishing around the gulds and no luck finding it.

Jammin' Jane 05-01-2012 10:16 AM

What an awesome pattern. Love the colors in it, too!
Sure hope someone finds the name of it....and shares it with all of us! :)

TinkerQuilts 05-01-2012 10:57 AM

That is gorgeous. It does look celtic knot-ish, but also stained glass-ish.

fivepaws 05-02-2012 05:21 AM

Could some one design this and let everyone share? Does EQ work for this kind of thing? It has got to go on my table. I am no good at designing and even though I have searched the web, I can not find it. Perhaps this is a search that Crafty Bear would be willing to make.

So, I found out this much, it's a variation of the Trinity Celtic Knot, possibly by Twila Richter.

JoyjoyMarie 05-02-2012 09:14 AM

Someone posteda link the other day to a place called tangle patterns.com, and I drew this one from there. It was called Celtic at that site: http://www.tanglepatterns.com It is basically a drawing of a three strand braid.

QM 05-02-2012 09:59 AM

Don't know, but I like it. Shouldn't be too hard to reproduce the pattern if it is not available.
