I have no idea about this, but it reminds me of the thing they used in old fashioned photo developing when the paper was dipped in various solutions before drying.... If I find out, I will post an answer.

It's a "whatsit". They're very handy for amusing children, paperweights, and starting conversations.

I actually know what this is *L* it's one of those things that makes you ask....what on earth is this??
It worked too didn't it :-) I am just kiddin' I think it might be an old hair clip for making the finger waves like the gals had back in the 1920's. I have some old hand stitched leather curlers that were my grandmothers. They are pretty funny looking.
Hope you find out what it really is and clue us in..

It's a Doo-Hicky.
Close cousin to the Thing-a-ma-jig, I can see how you were confused, closely resembles the thing-a-ma-bobber.

It's a "get along"......can't get along with it and can't get along without it.

gramqlts 03-04-2011 03:01 PM

Oh....I'm sorry....a "get along" is a spouse.

Qbee 03-04-2011 03:28 PM

ROFL!! Oh.....I see the difference now! Don't know how I could have not seen that before.
