That is a cute pattern - and so nice that it's free!

This seems to be close to one of the Santas. I would love to have the pattern too. If you find it please ad the site to this board. I tried the love to know how site and the photo is there, but could not find the pattern. Many of the links showed not available anymore.

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art6345.asp here is where the pattern is. Go down to about half way and click on Santa- 4" paper pieced quilt block from AZ Patch. It will give you the paper piece pattern but not a pattern of the whole quilt. Just make as many blocks as you want.

Oh my gosh that is just adorable!!! Runs off to see if I can locate it too :)
Soooo cute!!!!

The book is out of print, I ordered it from amazon. I can't find that particular pattern on the web. You can find one fat santa, but not the little skinny ones.

Yeah, I searched too... and searched. I have a friend whose mom belongs to a quilting guild. I've put out a request to see if she or the guild has the book so that I can get ahold of that pattern. It is just too cute. Okay. Having said that I'm sure I could draw it out. Laziness has gotten the better of me though! Her mom used to do a lot of mini quilts so you never know... She might just have that book then I'll be sporting cute triangle Santas for the holidays...

I've been eyeing that one two for the last 2 years but can't find it either. :(

Did you even try this link shaverg and farscapegal posted? http://www.azpatch.com/bom/pp2000/patterns/santa.htm
They found it!

It's the heavier Santa block on the right. Looks like the skinny version is still out there for someone to find.

shaverg 11-15-2009 05:21 PM

Yes, Thanks, I just ordered a used copy of the book that has the small quilt made with all 3 styles of Santa.

Sybil.,
Unfortunately this is the page where I found the picture.. but cannot find the pattern in all the links in this page.... I really dislike it when a page shows a specific picture but doesn't give you the pattern for it.
I checked out the link to amazon. I'm going to try to order the pattern book.. I did finally find the paperpieced larger santa... thank you Sybil. I appreciatet it.

Could you tell me what the name of the book is that you found the Santa in.... :D Thanks

shaverg 11-16-2009 10:08 AM

Favorite Foundation Pieced Minis 1, The only thing is you will probably have to find it used. Amazon does have some used ones that is the only place I could locate it for under $20. It is now out of print. Here is the link. I just got notified from the seller mine will ship today.

I also spent HOURS on the internet looking for this pattern, also the book you bought.
Have had no luck, so I was wondering if you could possibly send me a photocopy of this pattern and I would pay you.

Hi Angie,
I too am a wannabe quilter. Way too much materials, and books, but I've been looking for this Santa pattern for the longest time also. I can't even find the book you just bought.
Is there any chance that you would photocopy the pattern and mail it too me?
I'll pay you....
Mary, in B.C.

If you scroll down the page to Related Topics, Santa Quilt Pattern, it will get you to a PP pattern for the fat Santa, and suggestions on how to re-size and alter the proportions for other Santas - not really hard to do, just takes a little time.

I have this paper pieced pattern. It's in a Leisure Arts book. Here is the link to the book at Amazon.
