I'm going to post some pictures of some quilt's that I had done. 2 of them are done, by my long arm friend. And the other 1, is just about done, except for me to get the backing done. I will get the backing done, today, and take it to her tomorrow.. Then she'll have 3 of mine again.. Anyhow, everyone take care and happy quilting, and WELCOME to the newer member's.... Don-isewman1

This is of the quilt I just finished up.. This one is the one, I need to get the backing done..

This is a close up view of the quilt.. If you look at it, you should see ablock I sewed wrong, but p[ut it in the quilt anyway...

Here are 2 pictures of the 2 quilt's that are done.. Now I can put them with the rest of my quilt's.. And eventually put 2 of 3 quilt's that my long arm friend has, to my pile(collection).. Cause 1 of the 3 is for my son-in-law parent's.. Don-isewman1

This quilt is done..

This quilt is of all 2 inch squares, that I had cut from the scraps of quilt's that were done previously.. So saving scrap's do eventually come into something

Your quilts are great. Really like the way you used up your scraps. As for the quilt with the 'darn how did that happen' square ~ it gives the quilt character and makes it that much more unique(I've done a few that way myself). You do such great work. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice quilts!

I especially love the scraps one.

Can you tell me a little bit about how you put it together?
4 patches...?

Harmony 02-28-2009 11:46 AM

Wow, Don, I love them all! I especially like the middle one--I like the way you can see circles in it, then if you shift your eyes a bit the circles disappear again!

Marcia 02-28-2009 11:53 AM

Beautiful!!! All three-simply beautiful

Janstar 02-28-2009 12:14 PM

I really like that one too. I was wondering if I was imagining the circles, glad you see them too!
They are all quite lovely.

Great work, Don. I especially liked the one that looks like stained glass. What is its name? I mean the name of the block. It looks rather familiar, but my mind is not pulling it up! :?

barnbum 02-28-2009 04:01 PM

Very beuatiful quilts. Can you take some close-ups so we can see the quilting too? I'm particularly fond of the second one. You're colors a great.

Jim's Gem 02-28-2009 08:36 PM

Beautiful quilts Don!!!

Izy 03-01-2009 01:56 AM

Don, your quilts always inspire me, you have such a lot of talent, love the second one with the secondary patterns playing with your eyes :D

sandpat 03-01-2009 05:28 AM

Beautiful, as usual Don! I love all three of them and can't just pick a favorite. The impact of the scrappy one surprized me! I have to admit that I thought...wow..I bet that one took several yards of the white!! Can you tell that I did a quilt with lots of background and kept running out of the fabric???

Beautiful job on all of them!

Sharon M 03-01-2009 05:30 AM

Wow Don! Love them all. You definitely aren't in a rut, all so different. I tend to get comfortable with one pattern and stick with it a while. Love your color combinations. Don't forget only God is perfect so your quilts should always have a mistake somewhere....mine have more than one usually. :D
You do great work, looking forward to seeing the quilting up close.

tlrnhi 03-01-2009 07:10 AM

BEAUTIFUL!! ALL OF THEM!

Bevanger 03-01-2009 07:27 AM

Wow, Those are beautiful...... GREAT JOB!

Mousie 03-01-2009 07:34 AM

Don, as always, your stuff is awesome, such intricacies! bc of visual impairments, don't see circles, lol, and bc of heart, don't see any mistakes in any either. I just look for beauty. I consider myself to be patient, but, whoa, your scrappy one...such dedication, but look at the outcome! I hope they are given the love and appreciation in their new homes, that they deserve. :D
