Donations finishes

The last few days, I quilted and bound several tops and finished an afghan. I'll deliver them to the cancer center next week. There's a delivery delay because I'm being interviewed for the local newspaper on Monday and I want something to show the reporter. The red tulips with the green and yellow has flannel as the backing... it feels so cuddly. The third one was a donation through our senior center; it is hand pieced and extremely thin fabric; so I quilted every seam.

Your lovely quilts and afghan will bring comfort and smiles to those who are going through difficult times. Thanks for posting the photos....if you can share the name of the pattern for the afghan, I would love to have it. I have a collection of yarn leftovers from many projects that would work well with this pattern. :)

thanks, copycat. I don't really know the name of the pattern... i call it bricks. it's an oldie but a goodie. my mom had given me a sweater with that pattern when i was in high school and i've loved it ever since. it's fairly simple:
1. knit 2 rows, purling on the back side
2. knit 5, slip one across the row for 4 rows, purling on the back side
3. knit 2 rows, purling on the back side
4. knit 2, slip one to offset the bricks, *knit 5, slip one across the row for 4 rows, purling on the back side
