..when drinking a cup of hot java.

Use these "sipper slippers".......

Really easy to make and are so cute and useful !!!!!!

All one needs are small scraps for inserts, 1/8 yd. for background and 1/8 yd. insul-bright batting and a little time.

Those 1/8 yds. will probably do more than one slipper........

What length/width did you use? I've been planning some of these. The measurements I figured were something like 9.5 on bottom and 10.5 on top and perhaps 3" wide. I measured a coffee cup, but was curious what you used. Yours are lovely by the way. thanks

I like the way she put a mini quilt block in them and not just plain.

These are cute! Would love to see a tutorial on it.

Thanks but I can't take any glory for the design. It is a
"Pieceful Designs" pattern and called Sipper Slippers.
They are reusable hot protector.

Foxflower, you just about hit it right on target.

The curved pattern is a finished 10" on the top and a finished 9" bottom and the width is 3"

The site for the pattern is www.piecefuldesigns.com

...and they are quite easy.

Painiacs 10-21-2011 03:45 PM

Cite! Is there velcro on them?

No once sewn, one side inserts into the other and I handstitched them in the back.

Foxflower 10-21-2011 04:53 PM

Thank you! I was a little concerned it wouldn't fit right, but havent had a chance to make one to see. I'll check out the website.
