jmoore asked if the Lemon Shake Up was paper pieced, it was not. Here's a picture of the scrap pile I had after the first two quilts. I just started sewing straight edges together and then would trim up as needed to add the next piece. the blocks were very bulky due to the amount of seams. That's why there's no quilting inside the block itself. Wasn't really in the mood to deal with breaking needles.

I like your scraps much better than mine! LOL I think it's called scrap envy. I did a bunch of cutting and have piles in a shoebox, but have not figured out what to do with them yet. Thanks for sharing. I think double wedding ring might be a good choice for my piles.

You have had quite a journey just to get rid of scraps. They are all lovely. I especially love the yellow that you have used. It makes it look so soft.

Absolutely stunning! All 3 of them are beautiful and thank you for sharing. By the way, how old are you?

Wonderful! And I'm a fan of the simple quilting. I have to be!

Simple, beautiful, what a treat! Love the settings for the small quilts - the white is lovely, the yellow too. and the simple quilting sets it off. I love love love the two small ones - precious!

Well, in the first place, I totally "get it". For me, the size of my stash is starting to create an element of anxiety. I am 62 and a fairly prolific quilter, but I am also a prolific purchaser (I do need a 12 step program regarding this). I am feeling a strong need (read I am so embarrassed to have so much fabric and need to prove to someone(?) that it was not a craziness that created this enormous collection of fabric, nor was it some ridiculous waste of my money). Essentially you are doing a beautifully fabulous job of accomplishing my goal. This post proves that with some creative thinking on my part, I can start using up my stash. Seriously, every time I look at it, I start mentally calculating how many quilts a year I need to produce to use it up verses how many years can I reasonably expect to live. I hate to sound morbid, but... Thanks for your inspiration!
