WOW! Absolutely gorgeous!

duckydo 09-24-2011 04:38 AM

Beautiful, was the binding hard to do?

cyniree 09-24-2011 05:08 AM

Very Pretty.

You did an amazing job, especially for your first DWR, that's another one on my list of quilts I want to make. I did get the heavy plastic templates from Shar Jorgensen, but somehow they disappeared when we moved. Darn it.

What a beautiful quilt, both the piecing and quilting are out standing.

Double wedding ring is a quilt that I love, but am totally intimidated by! Maybe some day I'll have the nerve to try it. I think yours is beautiful!

stormatsea45 09-24-2011 08:21 AM

Very pretty. I'm impressed. I've made several small projects and a queen size spread for my daughter using John Flynn's method. I love the way he does it. It's strip pieced and then an adjusting seam to make the arc. For me, it's easier than cutting umpteen pieces with a template. ;)

Gramyx7 09-24-2011 08:48 AM

Very pretty.. i have been asked to make one.. so it will be my first... can't wait to get started on it...
good job....

Beautiful!!!

What a beautiful double wedding ring quilt. I think when I do mine I might want to use a single color in the arcs rather than all the little pieces. I used to own the heavy plastic templates for the double wedding ring by Shar Jorgensen, but somewhere it got lost in the move from NH to MA. If you don't know what to do with it, I would love to own a quilt like that, it's beautiful.

mlanell 09-24-2011 10:52 AM

Nope. I cut 2.5 inch strips on the bias. Actually, hand binding a quilt is one of my favorite parts of quilting.

Ileen 09-24-2011 03:08 PM

Beautiful!!!!!

luce321 09-24-2011 03:11 PM

You did a wonderful job - it's beautiful!

For some reason, this pattern intimidates me. Did you have an easy time making this? and, would you ever do another?

roseOfsharon 09-24-2011 03:36 PM

Outstanding! The colors are so vibrant.

Tinker Tots 09-24-2011 03:41 PM

I would love to do that, and not have all the piecing, that is what has scared me about even attempting to make one. Do you have instructions for it. It is so pretty.

nhlady52 09-24-2011 03:51 PM

That is beautiful. The colors are perfect for it.
