This is a pattern designed by Kinnette Blotzer of Something To Crow About in Springfield Oregon. I was quite a challenge for me. I really don't like Y seams at all. But my sister loves her quilt.

It looks like a snowflake---way beyond any skill I have now. You did a spectacular job!

joeyoz 08-22-2009 03:32 PM

quiltluvr, it was way beyond my skill level. It was a class i took at our quilt shop. Kinnette made it fun and was very helpful with instruction. I had to make myself finish it.

redquilter 08-22-2009 03:32 PM

What's not to love? It's magnificent. I could never even hope to do something like that.

swimmom 08-22-2009 03:32 PM

wvdek 08-22-2009 03:54 PM

Absolutely beautiful. If you can get through that, you can get through just about anything. What a challenge!

Ducky 08-22-2009 06:49 PM

.....Wow.... That just blows me away. I'm speechless. Incredible just doesn't quite say it, Joey. It's beautiful and one that would probably take me a lifetime to finish! Great job.

no Bevanger. That is the first time I have put them in a quilt show. It was the Coburg Quilt Show in Coburg, Oregon, and I had 3 in the show last year.

Elsie 08-23-2009 10:43 AM

that is pretty nice work joey

Quilt4u 08-23-2009 10:56 AM

Wow!!!! I could never get tired of looking at that quilt. You did a great job.

joeyoz 08-23-2009 04:11 PM

Redquilter, you would be surprized just how easy that pattern is. The star blocks are what is called a floating star. No 1/4 inch seams to have to worry about with the star points.
