That is a beautiful quilt. You did a great job on the embroidery/thread painting.

Your embroidery is phenomenal. What a steady hand you have. Can't believe the work you put into this and it shows. But then grandchildren are more than worth it aren't they? Keep designing, you definitely have a talent. Can't wait to see more!

What an adorable quilt! You should be very proud---and ARE a quilter! Tell your hubby that this idea was not a dangerous idea---it was a fantastic idea.

Hi Mary,
I went online and looked up Dr. Suess pictures, used some books as well, I used thermal embroidery topper (plastic that you embroider over to keep the nap down on the fabric so the thread will be under, then you iron and it melts away) to trace what I wanted to embroider. I hooped the fabric, then just started sewing on a straight stich with a embroider foot (I have a Brother embroidery machine-but this is free hand embroidery). It is like coloring with thread.

Wow! I am really impressed! I thought this was computerized machine embroidery. You free handed this!?---you have an amazing talent.

Oh gosh! How wonderful is that? The quilt is ideal - colors are bright, and the subject is perfect. Besides, who wouldn't like to snuggle with a great rag quilt like this? Thanks sew much for sharing.
