Beautiful, I bet they would make great mug rugs in a smaller size. even smaller yet.... you could do ornaments. Another one on my TO DO list. Everyone here is so talented.

I'm working on a brief tutorial. I can't do anything too in depth because of my Ebook on my Dresden Kaleidoscopes.
I will give you the basics but I can't do any real teaching on it as that is all in my book.

We saw them at Easter. Angie asked for help in getting a splinter out of Colton's finger. He actually sat there and let me dig with my fingernail on that splinter and other than being a bit reluctant at first to let me have his hand he sat and just watched. NO crying or throwing a fit. He is pretty easy going like his daddy.

grandme26 04-28-2012 09:28 AM

BEAUTIFUL. Too pretty to be pot holders.

RDM 04-28-2012 09:31 AM

Rhonda 04-28-2012 11:54 AM

Thanks everyone!

pacquilter 04-28-2012 12:13 PM

Those are really nice and I agree they would be hanging, and not sitting under pots! Did you bind the edges, or just do a topstitch?

I don't bind anything. I do mine like a pillowcase or what they call the birthing process. I sew them face to face and then pull it through the center hole. Then I do topstitch around the edge.

lawsonmugs 04-28-2012 12:32 PM

Dodie I did do a simple free tutorial on how to make the dresden kaleidoscopes but I couldn't put too much into it as I can't infringe on the book info.
Rhonda's Dresden Kaleidoscope Tutorial

I wrote an ebook on how to make these and I do have project patterns in that. and yes the hotpad directions are there.
