I didn't SID in border/sashes. I have done a linking heart shape which is a bit hard to see in the pictures.

Very pretty. I started handstitching my dresden plates on the background blocks but now I'm using the applique stitch on the machine. I especially like your black and white plates with the red sashing and borders. I'm currently collecting black on white and white on black prints to make a french braid quilt. You should definitely be extremely proud of this quilt.
