I just started another quilt top today. I'm waiting until I redo my sewing room next week to finish the peacock one. I'll have more room to work on quilting it then.
Anyway, here's the next one in the works. They are just laying on the center fabric to see what it looks like. I'll put these on either a beige or white background. These are made from my scraps. |

And here's the others...

Beautiful Dresden Plates! I'm really looking forward to seeing them all together...AND seeing your new sewing room too! :D
Sweet, I love classic patterns!
I love the yellow one. I have that same bee fabric. When I taught school I had a bee theme in my room. One of my favorite things I held on to is a duck dressed in a bee costume.
They are all so pretty and I'm looking forward to seeing more!
This is going to be one colorful quilt! Can't wait to see it completed!
very pretty glad to see i am not only one that likes bright colors and prints.
They are delightful...
I realized today that my stash is very limited... Gotta go shopping.... K |
Ooooh, they're very very pretty! :)
They look pretty good on the background you have them on now :)
That will be pretty, my favs are the red and yellow. This quilt is one I want to try one of these days :D :D
Very nice dresdens!

those are great - I have not tried that pattern for the 'wedges'...
Beautiful dresden plates. Can't wait to see it finished.
Wow! Gorgeous...everyone of them. Did you do all of those in one day?
I didnt do all mine in one day,,,it was a couple of weeks all told,as I didnt have all the fabric on hand when I started. But they do go pretty quickly.I made 12 dresdens for the swap, and 8 of the stars.
They are all beautiful.. I really like Dreden plates...
Thanks everyone. This is the easiest pattern I've ever done!
 Kathy, they are laying on my ironing board. I like that fabric too! I did mine all yesterday. Riversong, yours are beautiful! I like the way you used one of the fabrics in it for the center. I'll have to see if I have enough to do that. |
They are really easy,,,shes right. And they look complicated. A little time consuming, but worth it, I think.
Beautiful!
We have the same ironing board cover too... lol! |
LOL, I got mine from Wal-Mart.
Beautiful!! Dresdan Plate is such an awesome pattern, Love both of you guys' interpretations
Riversong & Sewnsewer,
BEAUTIFUL WORK!! Riversong, I don't think I'd be able to get that many done in a month. I tried a rounded version and couldn't get mine to lay flat....I'll have to come back to it one of these days. I don't know about it being all that easy LOL...but I did see the pattern in my Egg Money quilt book today and thought I might give it another try. |
retrogirl02, that's where this pattern I got came from. I saw it on (I think) HGTV's quilting show with Alex Anderson.
Wow you guys know how to put colors together. I did some dresdan plates years ago, they were so fun to make.
I love dresden plate and your colour schemes are quite breathtaking on that beautiful background
SewenSewer: You've captured my attention...I bow to you! Dresden is my favorite block and I love scrap quilts so yours has everything that appeals to me. Can't wait to see it when you finish it. I have made 2 and I'm on my third. The quilter did smallish stippling around my plates that made them just POP! She actually "made" the quilt with the quilting. I just love mine. Thanks for sharing yours.
Riversong...at risk of repeating all that I just wrote to SewnSewer, your scrap Dresden Plate is wonderful. I love your fabric choices and it looks like you do wonderful work. Thanks for sharing. Oh! Yes, I like the star blocks, also but the Dresden is my favorite.
