It's a beautiful quilt; dresden plate is one of my favorite patterns. Did the customer supply the fabric or say what colors she wanted (he wanted?) or were you free to use scraps from your stash or........??? If you get paid by check take a picture of it to put on your wall in memory of your first paid quilt (first but I'll bet it's not the last).

all the dresdens were already peiced, I just appliqued them to the background... and I found the closest match for the few background squares she already had.

there is a dresden ruler you can get... makes making the dresden so easy! I would recommend getting one! and it takes very littel skill... you just have to be able to sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam to do the block, and a basic understandint of hand appliquet would help, unless you inted to machine it like I did... pretty easy really
