Your quilt is splendid !!!! I hope that someday I am skilled enough to attempt the dresden plate design :)
there is a dresden ruler you can get... makes making the dresden so easy! I would recommend getting one! and it takes very littel skill... you just have to be able to sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam to do the block, and a basic understandint of hand appliquet would help, unless you inted to machine it like I did... pretty easy really
