Don't know what colors to use in circle and sashing and then borders. Any suggestions? I used my scraps for the plates.
These look great! Is that the background fabric you'll use? How about a pale yellow for the center circle.
Wow...looks great,,I agree Yellow would be very pretty!
Great job!!! I agree too on the light yellow.
looks great use a bright sashing
I would suggest red--but that's me. Gonna look great no matter what you choose.
I say red also. It just makes everything look brighter and you have red in your d. plates.
love it!!!
This is gorgeous! Can't wait to see it completed.
I would love to see red in the center circles. Would just give the plates a nice zing. Great job. Please post finished quilt.
I would say a solid medium yellow, medium pink, or Kona Black for your centers.
I say red too!! They are beautiful!!
You did a wonderful job on that! I go with red.
You don't need sashing unless you really want it. Anything would work for the borders. |
Ohhh red would make it realy pop!
I see one piece of red in each, so how about a red middle? By the way, I like your glasses
I would choose red for the center.
Bright Yellow or Red was my first choice too.
Oh my gosh, I hope I can make one that nice some day. Just beautiful!
I think the centers and corner posts should be red, but it must be several different reds. Maybe find a package of fat eighths, or quarters. Then some medium value print you just adore, for the sashings.

Light yellow for centers, red or blue for sashing would be awesome.
My first thought was a red or blue as those are the two colors that jump out at me. However, the more I look at the, the more I think a soft yellow. That would bring out the other colors in the plates.
that is gorgeous!
Love your dresdens. My thought is to have the centers white, the sashing black, and your cornerstones scrappy. Looking forward to seeing what you decide on.
Beautiful blocks!! I think red would be pretty too :D:D:D
On first glance, I thought Red. I think it will bring out the red you already have in it, and really make it pop. Love your fabric choices!
I like red :-)
GREAT JOB!
I'D USE A BRIGHT BUTTERCUP-LIKE YELLOW, NO SASHING, PROBABLY WOULDN'T DO A BORDER EITHER (THAT'S ME THOUGH, (I RARELY PUT A BORDER ON A QUILT - THEY USUALLY LOOK LIKE ATTEMPTS TO QUICKLY ENLARGE A TOP) I'D BIND IN THE SAME FABRIC USED FOR CIRCLES. Whatever colour you choose. Caps unintentional - didn't look up til well into message. |
Kona black gets my vote! Looks great!

I vote for red too. I love dresdens!
They look really cool!! Like the scrappy look!!
Now I don't know whar color to use in the center. I planned on a medium blue sashing and thea narron borader of the cream that I put my plates on and that it Kona Cotton. Then I made the dresen 5 inch boarder out of scraps with the pieces oppisite direction. Shoul I follow thru and put the same blue in the center or Bright yellow or black? I am not going to have corner stones in the sashing.
How in the world can you see my glasses?
Yes this is the back ground in a kona cotton off white.
