This was made with some blocks my great grandma appliqued. She died in 1986 so I have no idea how old they are. You can tell from this mismatched ceters she wasn't much of a quilter, but I don't care. It looks nice in my bedroom and I like that she made the blocks.

Wonderful tribute:)

Nice

It's precious, no matter how it is pieced. What a way to feel a connection with her every time you look at it. I LOVE IT!!!
Very pretty. I can only hope that any future grandchildren of mine would feel that way about the odds and ends that I leave behind.
now that's special. :)
Very pretty; you made them precious memories.

I love your dresser scarf. A nice way to use the blocks. You get to see them every day and you get to remember your great grandmother.

Awesome for you! That would probably be my pride and joy :)
beutiful !
It's nice for you to have it.
Am glad you have something from her. That's probably what my descendants will say about me....
Wonderful, what a treasure. When the rotary cutter and ruler came in, there came a new interest in accuracy. Before that not as many quilters were so intense. They quilted for joy.
I do not see anything wrong with her blocks. I thought that using colors you like rather than colors someone else dictates was the fun part of quilting.
looks perfect from here. Very nice.
The centers aren't mismatched...It's a unique design that your GG invented. Very nice.
No quilt police here! I think it looks very nice.
I have a quilt top my aunt made and she did not want any more. She gave it to me and no, it is not perfect but she made it and that is what is important to me. |
