I've done a lot of drunkard paths but this one is by far one of the prettiest variations. I don't believe I have it. It is sooooo cool.

Beautiful quilt & quilting--thanks for sharing it!

JoyjoyMarie 02-06-2011 10:21 AM

Beautiful quilt- I am an orange lover, and I too was quilting while I watched the Austratian Open--Love tennis!! Isn't it a challenge to know when to look up and watch the match, and when to look down and take your stitches? I get better at it every time. Glad you shared this beautiful quilt with us- I'll put mine up someday- when it gets finished. Maybe some more tonight during the Superbowl.

Drunkards Path has always been one of my favorite patterns. It lends so much to variations. Yours is new to me and its a beauty. Marvel

Lovely. Would love to have the pattern. Can you help me find it?

cvardiman 02-06-2011 02:03 PM

Dunster,

Oops! Lovely. Would like to have the pattern. Will you help me find it?

Thanks Cath

Love your quilting, wish I could do it. Can do the caveman quilting where the stitches don't have to be a certain size or distance from the other one.

I find if I use a quilting hoop I am able to get the stitches more even, I cannot master (at this stage) the "Rocking Motion" of hand quilting as it is too hard to get the needle through all thicknesses.

Great quilt, I love all the DP designs, I have just bought a couple of second hand books on DP patterns, what a bargain. Love the colours in your quilt!

Wow Carol, That is one excellent piece of workmanship for only your second quilt. You must be a fast learner. Color and hand quilting make this an heirloom that you kids will fight over.

p38flygirl 02-06-2011 03:51 PM

awesome job...Keep up the beautiful work...
