This was just a small rag quilt so if you do a big one, please check the lint catcher every 10 minutes or so. This looks like it could be dangerous but it's so beautiful. It could almost pass for an original Jackson Pollock. :-D

Good reminder...and you are right it has a certain Jackson Pollock look. Years ago I remember seeing an arts programme and one of the artists actually used dryer lint to make landscapes.

when I make rag quilts I go to the Laundromat to wash and dry them-they have way better filters than we do at home

I just finished a baby rag quilt. I took mine to the laundrymat though. I thought the lint would be mostly in the dryer but it wasn't. There was more in the washer than the dryer, surprised me!
I agree, you're lint looks very pretty! Most of mine was all wet so it didn't have the beauty yours does. :lol: Hope you post a picture of your finished quilt.

I go the laundromat also. I don't need to plug up my sewer, and I have an old dryer that doesn't need to do that kind of work.

I just made one and took it the laundramat to wash and dry.
