If you used commercially dyed fabric, it would be pretty easy: apply wonder under to back of black fabric. Trace design on freezer paper and apply to front of black fabric: cut out; fuse black fabric to background fabric. |

This allows you to use dye like paint; but since it is still actually dye, the hand of the fabric is not changed the way it is when you paint on it. |
