TWO days?? Ha, this probably would take me months & months. What is this pattern name? I'm an beginner so far i have done a block called Shoo fly and rail fence, so i am ready to move on to an bigger project. I love your pattern and color too.
4 patch? How did u know where to place the colors to come out this way? Could I have this pattern? I am learning to quilt as u can see from my previous email about the blocks that i've done so far. Thanks
Very nice :-P

Just pick two contrasting fabrics, a dark and a light. You will cut an equal number of equal size squares from each fabric. Then lay them out so that you have a four patch unit (4 pieces of fabric) with the darker colors on opposite corners of the lighter colors. Sew the top two in your foursquare together. Sew your bottom two together. Then sew the two rectangles together. This makes one block. You can make as many blocks as you need. I hope this is not too confusing. ;) :D |
To JennyPenny: I think that I understand what you're saying but i will try this weekend. Thanks for helping me out, so i lay them out as 1 block of 4 peices and then attached the next block alongside of it and so on, until the next row and so on as the 1st row?? Duh..hope i didn't confuse u?
nice work on the quilts
I had to look at the pattern closely to see how you made up the 4 patch blocks. Very nice.

Love your quilts though. Every one is great! |
now, we are not going to kid ourselves. it would be a dawn to dusk task for 2 days all day.--with scraps, and cutting and sewing l square at a time. ---- but if you did strip sewing, (eleanor burns method) you know what i mean? then it wouldn't be such long days. and you might even be able to get one done in l long day, if you pushed yourself. a queen, double, or twin.
