If you ever need a quickie baby quilt, this one is nice and easy! I'm still practicing my quilting chops, but this wasn't too difficult. And I used fusible batting, which I did not like.

Cute quilt! I am curious why didn't you like the fusible batting? I just bought some and have not used it yet.

This is a VERY cute baby quilt!! (And I have the same question as Memalinda. I too just bought some fusible batting and haven't yet used it and wondering what problems you had with it.)

Chele,
This is way to cute.

Chele, I love that. I wonder if you could make this by sewing the strips directly onto batting and backing like the fun and done method? That would make it even faster.

The fusible batting fused like hard glue in some places and didn't adhere in others. It was nice that you could heat it up and reposition, but it just didn't work like I imagined. Plus, the kind I bought was polyester and I prefer cotton batting. I think they make fusible cotton batting though.

I think it would be better for smaller craft projects or quilts. The glue residue did wash out for the most part. Careful ironing might alleviate the problems I had, so give it a try and let me know your tips!
