Easy hug quilt

A dear college friend was just diagnosed with colon cancer, so I wanted to hurry and send her a "hug" quilt to take with her for chemo infusions. I didn't have a pattern per se, but copied it from a photograph. It is just 4 blocks. I've made it before with multiple shades of each color, but I was in a hurry and used three coordinating colors from my stash, which was a little harder to arrange on the design wall. Theoretically there should be no matching seams when you sew the row together, but because of the limited color choices, I ended switching blocks around. It still was fast and easy to assemble. I'm in the process of quilting it now and want to finish and mail before my knee replacement surgery on Feb. 13.

I'm not sure if the pattern is similar to the Yellowbrick Road pattern, but it looks similar.

That looks great. Your friend will love the hugs she'll get from this quilt gift.

Lovely idea. Hope your friend responds well to treatment.

You did a great job. Sure she will be so happy with the quilt and sending prayers she responds positively to the treatment.

How sweet of you to make that. I'm sure she will use her quilt because those infusion rooms are always cold it seems.

Lovely quilt, I'm sure your friend will love it. Have her check with the infusion center if she can bring it. Some do not allow patients to bring a blanket. Mine did not but they did provide heated blankets to everyone.

Absolutely love it. Wish there was a pattern for it.

Very nice. Your friend will feel the love as she snuggles during her treatment. The support will be heartfelt as she goes through the process.

Trying to attach the PDF. The blocks drawn are actual FINISHED SIZES. You need 14 of each block style to make a 63" x 72" quilt. Hope this works for all of you.
