Hi Ladies
I took a local class in which we used the book by Amelie Scott. It was great. I have had the book for a year and was afraid to try it. But after seeing it done it was so easy. I used an 8 x 14 hoop, the 200 x 360, on my Viking Topaz. I think you can use the smaller designs on the 200 x 260. You just stitch out two templates on stabilizer, A snd B, and basically stitch down 2 columns. Hard to explain, but so easy. It's a lot of hooping, but very doable. Took about 45 hoopings on the sampler quilt. Just used regular quilt batting. I took the sampler quilt to a local quilt shop and the owner wanted to know who was the longarmer! Funny. I was so proud to say I did it myself on my embroidery machine! |
Nice work. You were sure productive.

I have had the book and cd for awhile, I could not get my machine to read it. After seeing yours I will have to give it a go again! Beautiful quilts!

Thanks for the tip about stitching out the templates on stabilizer. I wondered how you could print the templates and that's the answer ! I am going to give this a try. |
