Hi Ladies
I took a local class in which we used the book by Amelie Scott. It was great. I have had the book for a year and was afraid to try it. But after seeing it done it was so easy. I used an 8 x 14 hoop, the 200 x 360, on my Viking Topaz. I think you can use the smaller designs on the 200 x 260. You just stitch out two templates on stabilizer, A snd B, and basically stitch down 2 columns. Hard to explain, but so easy. It's a lot of hooping, but very doable. Took about 45 hoopings on the sampler quilt. Just used regular quilt batting. I took the sampler quilt to a local quilt shop and the owner wanted to know who was the longarmer! Funny. I was so proud to say I did it myself on my embroidery machine!

I don't have an embroidery machine, but found the video very informative, thanks for the link.

You say to use regular batting, please explain regular batting. Is it the really flat warm and natural or can you use poly, in what thickness.
The video makes it look very easy but am concerned about the batt thickness.

I have had the book and cd for awhile, I could not get my machine to read it. After seeing yours I will have to give it a go again! Beautiful quilts!

Thanks for the tip about stitching out the templates on stabilizer. I wondered how you could print the templates and that's the answer ! I am going to give this a try.
