eldon blocks

1 Attachment(s)
These are some of the eldon blocks i've started. I have 10 more to put together. The stars amd log cabins are already done, just have to put them together. Like I said before, I don't like working with one inch pieces.
all you have to do is hit a little bump on a seam and your quarter inch gets wonkie.
When you stand back and look at them, I think I like the blue on best. Up close I liked the red one. Lots more work to go. sigh

For the center stars--sew four strips together-cut out 8 diamond shapes
Sew 8 log cabin blocks-4 1/2 inches
Attach in the v shape of the stars.
I haven't cut out the background diamonds yet or the side triangles.
It looks harder than it really is.

My scrappy group started this this month. I love the design, butwould prefer larger sizes. After I finish a couple of blocks; I've committed myself to doing 2 blocks as pattern. After that I will probably enlarge considerably. Yours is comig along very nicely.
