My DDIL asked for a Black Christmas Tree Skirt to go under her black Christmas Tree. I asked the QB for ideas and here is the results. She said she didn't know what she wanted but the finished skirt was exactly what she DID want. lol

I used a hexagon template and extended it out the width of the fabric using freezer paper. It is in 6 wedges.

The skirt goes really well with the tree. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I have to say I DO like it. And you gave her just what she wanted. Thanks for sharing.

I have never heard of a black Christmas Tree either. There must be a story behind it. Will you share with us?

When I questioned her request she said she was weird ......I said, "you must be you are married to my son". The 2 of them not only march to the beat of a different drum but they have their own "Band". She said she saw a black trees decorated in clear lights and white and silver balls and fell in love with it. What more can I say?LOL
