I am DONE!! Yahoo!!

I ordered three kits (two orange and one blue) from Connecting threads awhile back. The orange ones were 50% off (dirt cheap = my kind of kit!!)and the blue one was 20% off. These were my first kits from them and I was very pleased.

I did not care for the finishing - you were supposed to sew tog with right sides tog and then turn. I decided to throw them on the LA and quilt them to a piece of muslin - so they were too thick for me to comfortable "cram" it all through a "little hole" - lol. So I sewed them tog and put a pieced binding on it.

The handles were also redesigned. There were to be cut WOF with a little batting between them. The bags are large and if you put anything in them, the handles would have never held up. I took a 1" piece of webbing and covered it with the same strips as I used for the binding.

Here is the results:

Thanks all - I was pleased with them My goal this year was to work on hand sewing so all the pieces were hand sewn tog - but was not convinced that it would be sturdy!!
