LOL I was thinking the opposite. The dark diagonals radiating from the corners are distracting me. I like patches when they don't form any particular pattern to draw the eye. I think the colours are well chosen. I might consider an extra, paler, plain, border around the wolf feature to give him some more breathing room- those guys like their open space!

I think a dark boarder around the picture would set it off, maybe matchit with a dark boarder around the quilt. With the blocks right up against the picture, it is hard on the eyes. You did a great job with the colors you picked.
